Hand thrown on the wheel and then sculpted, my quail vases are a tribute to these sweet little shy birds, usually seen skittering close to bushes and shrubs. My vases have a few small holes on top, intended for dried grasses or plants. Flowers with thin stems could also work!

This bevy of quail were wood fired in an anagama kiln, and the surface color and texture come from a combination of melted ash and flame markings. Each is unique!
