This tall and elegant pouring pot has dramatic markings and natural, rich colors from the wood fire process. Melted wood ash and flame impingement contribute to the unique qualities of each piece. Inside a selection of shells were carefully placed, creating a unique pattern. Placement in the kiln, heat, atmosphere and type of wood used to stoke the kiln all play a part in the outcome. Glazed by natural wood ash and lightweight for its size, it is fully functional for serving liquids and/or is a stunning visual accent in a special spot.
